A pedigree should be constructed with line breeding to horses of great significance. This is one of the things that is so important in selecting a stallion, for you are not buying the stallion when you breed to him, you are buying what he reproduces!! Alken's sire Ganges' show career culminated with the 2003 Reserve National Champion Senior Breeding Stallion title, this following his 2002 Top Ten National Champion Breeding Stallion Title. Ganges also holds the distinction of being the Monogramm son chosen by the Polish breeding program to represent the Kuhailan type. Alken is line bred to Algonkina, one of the greatest Polish mares of Janow Podlaski. Algonkina was the best *Pietuszok daughter, and founded a whole family of National Champions including Algeria, *Aloes, *Algomej and so forth. Dam of Alken is Alkina by *Algomej (Celebes x Algonkina) x Bint Algoa (*Eukaliptus x *Algoa by Czort x Algonkina). Bint Algoa was an exquisite *Eukaliptus daughter and an excellent mover. *Algoa was the dam of *Aloes, Polish National Champion Stallion and maternal grandsire of *Ganges.

One of the few remaining pure polish sons of the great *Bandos, this stallion will add immeasurably to our "polish preservation" breeding program. Dam of Bandos Las Ladd is B Lovely (*Aladdin x Bastique by *Bask++ x *Gawra). It is an honor to have this stallion.
